VISALIA KARATE-DO
Welcome to Visalia Karate-Do.  Established in 1975, by Dan Taylor, ours is the oldest Karate-Do program in Visalia.  Our school is a member of a division of the Dai Nippon Butoku Kai (DNBK) in Japan. Established in 1895, the DNBK is the oldest and most prestigious martial arts organization in Japan.

Our primary discipline is Gojuryu Karate-Do founded by Chojun Miyagi in the Okinawan Islands of Japan. Our secondary discipline is Kenshinryu Bojutsu (Staff) founded by Teruo Hayashi.  We do not emphasize fighting or competition. Our goal is physical conditioning, self-defense, and the character building virtues of Japanese Budo.

​Our instructor is Kaumron Torabi.  Sensei Torabi has more than 45 years experience in Karatedo.  He has trained in Japan where he is certified as a Godan (Fifth Degree Black-Belt) in Karatedo and Yondan (Fourth Degree Black-Belt) in Kobudo.  He has also been awarded a Renshi Instructor's Title.
Classes are held at the Lifestyle Fitness Center.
